Spectacular drone footage shows a 100ft jet of water shooting into the air above homes in Llandudno Junction .
A damaged water hydrant caused an explosion of water on the houses on Marl Drive.
Aerial images show the scale of the problem which is leaving homes without water.
Nathan Jones, who filmed the footage, said: “We live on the street and were told earlier today that there was a problem with the water. When we got home we didn't know what to expect.”
“I thought it was amazing, I’d never seen anything like it before.”
Welsh Water has apologized to everyone affected and engineers are currently working on site to resolve the problem.
A Welsh Water spokesperson said: “A damaged hydrant could affect water supplies to customers in the Llandudno Junction area. People might experience low water pressure or no water supply at all. We have a team on site to manage the situation and estimate that the water supply should begin to return to normal later this afternoon.
“We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and assure everyone affected that we are doing everything possible to restore normal service as quickly as possible.
“As supplies begin to return, some customers may notice slight discoloration in their tap water. This is not unusual after an incident of this nature and should disappear within a short time.
“If anyone has any concerns about their water we ask them to call our operational helpline on 0800 052 0130.”
