On Wednesday, a child died after falling tragically from his balcony from his apartment.
The community surrounding the Pinnacle apartment on 121 Street and Jasper Avenue is in mourning.
Residents told Global News that around 6 p.m. on July 2, a five-year-old boy unlocked a wallpaper, climbed over his 21st floor apartment balustrade and fell on his death. He landed on the roof of a commercial company connected to the building.
Residents who know the family say that the boy has two brothers and sisters and that the mother and the father were at home when it happened.

Colleen Krempuclec, communications manager at HazelView, says they give family space to cry and have found no problem with the balcony.
“All our balconies meet all security requirements and meet the requirements of the building code. We have no indication to believe that the incident was the result of structural problems. So, beyond that, I do not want to speculate on the results of the police investigation. ”
The community was invited to cry the death of the child with the family at the Ethiopian Community Association Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
